Refund Policy

  • You can get a full refund if you fail to comply with the policy’s pet examination requirements within 30 days of the policy start date.
  • Your pet must be examined by a veterinarian within 6 months before the policy start date. If not, you must have an exam done at your expense within 30 days.
  • Any conditions found in the first exam after the policy start date are excluded from coverage.
  • If you don’t have the required first exam, the policy may be voided and the premium refunded.
  • You can get a full refund if you cancel within the first 30 days and haven’t filed a claim.
  • After 30 days, any refund will be prorated based on the remaining unused portion of the policy period.

Things to Consider Before Cancelling

Before cancelling your Fetch insurance, consider these points:

  • If your pet has a pre-existing condition, they may be declined for new coverage in the future. Fetch continues covering pre-existing conditions if you maintain continuous coverage.
  • Rates with a new insurer may be higher, especially for older pets. Fetch rates are fixed based on your pet’s age at enrollment.
  • Preventive care like annual exams and vaccinations are not covered by pet insurance. Fetch provides reimbursement for illnesses, injuries, surgeries, and emergencies.
  • Fetch offers a 24/7 pet helpline for emergency advice at no extra charge. This service goes away if you cancel.

Carefully weigh the pros and cons before cancelling your Fetch policy. Make sure you have an alternative plan to cover future vet bills if you do cancel.

We hope this article clarifies how to easily cancel your Fetch pet insurance policy by phone, email, or mail. Just contact customer service or send written notice including your details and requested cancellation date. Consider your options before cancelling to ensure your pet still has coverage for future vet care.
